Opening: Monday the 14th of November, 6 – 8 pm
Studio Night, Thursday the 17th of November, 11 am – 8 pm
Vienna Art Week Open Studio Day:
Saturday the 19th of November, 11 am – 6 pm
During the Vienna Art Week, both Florian Raditsch and Beat Lehner will be opening the doors of their Pop-up Studio/Exhibition to visitors. The pop-up location in the historic city-center will offer a unique view on the work and individual creative practices of both artists, within the walls of Vienna’s Franciscan Abbey.
In his current body of work, Austrian artist Beat Lehner explores the varying facets of fear within society, albeit in an optimistic and sometimes humorous fashion. The work of American artist Florian Raditsch is concerned with questioning the inherent meanings of the objects and situations depicted, whereby the physical corporality of the subject matter is emphasized. His large and medium-format works are for the most part created in charcoal and are realized in a meticulous technique of his own invention.
The Open Studio Day that takes place during the Vienna Art Week provides art enthusiasts with a unique “intimate atmosphere”, in which visitors and artists alike may come together in conversation.
